bringing liquor into vancouver from us?

can you bring liquor in you luggage into canada from us? we are spending a couple of days in vancouver before our 8/22 infinity cruise and we usually bring some. i thought about bringing it in my carry-on,but my husband said i'd better find out if it was legal. it's not going to be 151. thanks for info.:confused:

Here's the BC Liquor store site. The staff at the specialty store on Thurlow are excellent. They'll help you find something to suit your tastes and budget. A US citizen can bring liquor into Canada for personal consumtion - don't overdo it and you shouldn't have any problems. You cannot bring it into Canada to leave in Canada or as a gift to a Canadian.

40oz each into Canada and you CAN bring it as a gift for a Canadian.

If you bring more-you will be charged duty on it.
