La Romana / Casa de Campo

Check out Altos de Chavon

Altos de Chavon is a charming 17th century replica village in the Casa de Campo resort area. Beautiful views of the Chavon River canyon, charming little village, art galleries, a small museum, restaurants (many open only at night), beautiful architecture- all buildings made of stones.

A taxi ride will get you there. Rent a taxi guy for 1/2 day, and tell him to givre you a couple of hours there. If you want, you can even stop in the Casa de Campo marina on the way out for more shops or lunch.
