aljohart Posted March 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2007 www.airportparkingreservations.com will connect you with info for several shuttles. Most of these are to park your car and then they will take you to the airport or port, but perhaps they would also shuttle you from the airport to the port. Call the 800 numbers provided. Good luck! That's half what HAL charges for the bus you have to get in line for. Candy the ZuiderPrincess
Palm Beacher Posted March 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 11, 2007 We take the regular taxi too. It's much cheaper. You may want to arrange for a skycap to meet you at the baggage claim area to help with your luggage. He'll also help with getting you a taxi. Spender Nui Posted March 11, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2007 Take a cab. Readily available. Probably $10 - $12. Haven't done it for a while but it can't be much more.
minitor Posted March 12, 2007 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2007 Taxi is the best way to get there. Once you grab your bags, just walk out and grab one. When you return, a Taxi is also the best way. If you take a HAL bus you will wait for bag and people to be loaded...then you wait for them to be unloaded .
twinkletoes4445 Posted March 12, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2007 I'd grab a cab. There are plenty, and you won't have to wait more than a minute or so in the cab line. We used a cab to get from the ship back to the airport and I believe it was $17.50 or so before the tip. Once we were in the area where our luggage was (after the cruise), we found a porter to help us with this. He loaded everything up, and hauled it out to a cab. This all took about 2 minutes. There was a line for people wanting cabs, but he bypassed this and took us directly to a cab. All this was well-worth the tip we gave him. We used a transfer from the hotel to the port and I'd not do that again. The bus was an hour late, and then we had to wait for the luggage to be loaded and everyone to get on. We didn't get to the port until 1:30 or so. We should have just grabbed a cab. Also, when you take a transfer at the port, you have to wait for the bus to fill, then you have to make multiple stops...and they don't always stop right where you need to be dropped. A cab is really the easiest way to get to and from the port, IMO. :)
