We Need Advice

We Are In Our Mid Sixties And Will Arrive At The Ft Lauderdale Airport. What Is The Best/easiest Way To Get From The Airport To The Ship. We Will Have 3 Pcs Of Luggage Plus Carry-ons

If You Know Approx Costs That Would Also Be A Great Help, Although Cost Is Not The Only Factor

A-ha Transfer

B-regular Taxi

C-car Service With Meet And Greet

Thanks

We always take a cab... we bypass all the lines, checkin, phone calls, and pay less than $20 total for the 8 minute trip to the dock. That's half what HAL charges for the bus you have to get in line for.

Taxi is the best way to get there. Once you grab your bags, just walk out and grab one. When you return, a Taxi is also the best way. If you take a HAL bus you will wait for bag and people to be loaded...then you wait for them to be unloaded .

I'd grab a cab. There are plenty, and you won't have to wait more than a minute or so in the cab line.

We used a cab to get from the ship back to the airport and I believe it was $17.50 or so before the tip. Once we were in the area where our luggage was (after the cruise), we found a porter to help us with this. He loaded everything up, and hauled it out to a cab. This all took about 2 minutes. There was a line for people wanting cabs, but he bypassed this and took us directly to a cab. All this was well-worth the tip we gave him.

We used a transfer from the hotel to the port and I'd not do that again. The bus was an hour late, and then we had to wait for the luggage to be loaded and everyone to get on. We didn't get to the port until 1:30 or so. We should have just grabbed a cab.

Also, when you take a transfer at the port, you have to wait for the bus to fill, then you have to make multiple stops...and they don't always stop right where you need to be dropped.

A cab is really the easiest way to get to and from the port, IMO. :)
