jwilcox Posted March 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2007 Everyone seems to recommend Sterling's as a good Princess choice. But there doesn't appear to be one on the Coral princess. Can someone tell me for sure what the sprecialty restaurants are on the Coral and what sort of food each one serves. I know we should make reservations early. so we're trying to figure out how many days of dining we want in the main dining room and how many in specialty restaurants. barbarah33 Posted March 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2007 I haven't sailed on the Coral but I am looking at booking a cruise on her. I believe she has Sabatini's and the Bayou Steakhouse for specialty restaurants.
jwilcox Posted March 12, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted March 12, 2007 I didn't realize the Bayou was a steakhouse. I thought it was a Cajon restaurant. So if I've read posts recommending Sterling's that sounded good to me I should try the Bayou?
cindep Posted March 12, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2007 I can highly recommend the Bayou Cafe on the Coral. We ''tried'' it for lunch on one of the sea days and it was excellent. This was 3 years ago, so the menu may have changed. The food leaned toward New Orleans type of fare -- I believe I had the catfish which was VERY good. It is something very different -- clear down to the chickory coffee at the end of the meal. I'm not too into New Orleans or Cajun food, but I still found plenty to enjoy. SHayesShip Posted March 12, 2007 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2007 The Coral has Sabatini's (Italian) and the Bayou Cafe (Cajun). The Bayou, has live music and dancing after 8pm nightly. They have a blackened Ribeye that was one of the best steaks that I have had.
