Cp Guarantee...when Assigned?

Last September we booked a G class guarantee on the Crown for 3/24 and have yet to recieve our cab assignments. We're past Princess cruisers and know it can be up to the day of sailing to know your cabin number, but are wondering when recent CP cruisers got their assigments. We're only 9 days out right now and understandably excited...if not a bit anxious!

We're on the same sailing, same category, and "in the same boat". If I don't see an assignment before we fly out, I may call my travel agent "just to make sure" booking is solid. I think Princess told me one time they work on guarantee assignments the week before the sailings so something may show up in the Personalizer next week.

Booked our first Princess cruise last week sailing on 3/25/2007 at a guarantee. Was wondering what you do about luggage tags. Are you able to pick up luggage tags at the pier before you check in?

Carol, Yes, the porters have the manifest if you are a 'late' assignment.

Gosh, I learn so much on these boards. I assumed CP meant Crown Princess.

Thanks for the correction. Anyway... we sail in a week and still no cabin assignment. I have gotten to the dock on CCL out of FL in the past and received my cabin number and luggage tags from the porters. Sailing out of SJU without a cabin number just makes me a bit jittery, but a guarantee is just that, no more. I trust Princess but will still call my TA to check on things by mid week. It makes sense to me that they'll be "closing" the ship by then and will finalize assignments. See you onboard NukeTim!
