Excursion question

Please tell me what I might be missing...

 

I am going on the Spirit on April 1st and the charge for the Disney Excursion is $149. that incudes tickets to the park and transportation.

 

4 people would be $596

 

If I just choose the transportation to Disney only its $59 and if I buy the tickets at the gate its $257 ($67 each for 3 adults and $56 for 1 child)

 

4 people this way is $493

 

thats over $100 difference..

 

why choose the full package? just to save time to purchase the tickets?

When we were on the Dawn, we took there bus to Disney and purchased our own tickets at the gate. It worked fine for us.. and we knew the ship would wait if we were late! I'm not sure if you will be missing anything by purchasing the tickets through NCL or not..

We thought that Disney was really expensive for only being there for roughly six hours. It was a struggle to decide not to take that excursion.

I agree... why anyone would pay for the full package? I didn't see where you were getting anything other than transportation and admission. You only get into 1 park.

I am a frequent visitor of Disney and you can purchase your tickets at www.Disneygo.com or at your local Disney store BEFORE your cruise, this way you won't have to stand in line.

You can check the ports of call boards for more specifics for this port, but I would think you could rent a car for the day for much cheaper, and then get your tickets at the gate or as the poster above said, before you go. Of course you have to factor in parking fees, and you can probably find more info on that over on the Ports board, but it's a thought. Then again, I haven't been to Disney in years, I can only imagine how much parking is.:eek:

I believe parking fee's at the parks are $10. Some places offer discounted tickets too- I know an automobile club does, but I'm not sure if it's for 1 day tickets.
