Emerald Princess-Brooklyn, NY Parking

Leaving end of June on Emerald from Brooklyn. Just informed parking was about $20.00 a day, for the 10 day cruise, that's $200.00. Are there alternatives? Cheaper parking nearby? Any ideas?

The end of June the Emerald is in Europe . . . do you mean the Crown 9-day cruise out of Brooklyn? The Emerald is out of Ft. Lauderdale in October.

 

As for parking, all parking in NY is mucho expensive! I don't believe there is any way around it. You could always fly in and take a car service, but I would imagine that would end up costing more than just parking for 9 days.

The parking is $18 a day for multi day parking. If you want safe parking, park at the terminal. The Marriot has limited parking but it is even more than at the cruise terminal.

You must be on another ship (Crown?). The Emerald is in Europe in June!

other than not bringing your car there really aren't many alternatives...none that would be significantly cheaper that would be worth the hassle. The Manhattan piers have a $180.00 limit but I don't think that is in force in brooklyn. You can see all the parking info at www.nypst.com under the brooklyn piers.
