manicure & Pedicure

Hi, I'll be sailing on the Triumph next Sat. I was thinking about getting my manicure & pedicure on the ship.

Do anyone of you know what the price is or if you have to book this right away. Does it fill up fast? Cant find the price list on Carnival website.

I haven't been on that ship but if it's anything like the glory it's like $45 for a manicure and roughly the same for a pedicure and around $60 for a hair cut and I think a little more for an updo for the formal. The gym is free, massages and iothermine (no idea if I spelled that right) type things are at least $100, the detox seminar is $15-30 and if you buy the stuff it's $200-300. I hope you get a better manicurist than I did because mine was rude and the nail polish started chipping off within 12 hours and the manicurist said it should last a week.

I did a search and found that others have had the same results with their manicure on board. I would expect the polish to last for most of the week of the cruise.

I just thought it would be nice having it done on board, relaxing and looking out at the sea as we cruise.

I paid about $45 for my manicure on Glory, but it was way more than I spend at home and it didn't last as long either. The manicurist on board really buffed my nails too much and one actually started splitting and my nails NEVER split. I just wasn't impressed and my DH (after getting a shave, just so-so) and I decided we'd never use the spa again. Next cruise, this Oct, I'll get a manicure before we leave and add top coat and it should last most of the cruise, if not all. One thing I always do is put another coating of top coat on a few hours after any manicure I get. It does help it last longer.

Wel, don't get your hopes up about looking out at the sea while receiving spa treatments. The spa is on one of the very top decks and has no windows.:(

The spa I went to had a few windows. The gym which is part of the spa is pretty much surrounded by windows. But ya the spa was what I was really looking foward to and they definitely let me down. The spa and the pursers office gave my family a lot of trouble so hopefully everyone else has better luck.
