auntiebea Posted April 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2007 I'm sailing on the Vision of the Seas on Sunday and have a question about the time change in PV. With the ship arriving at 8am we have booked the Los Veranos canopy tour for 11am. When my itinerary says 8am arrival, is this local time (Central) or Pacific time? I just don't want to miss my tour.....

I have also been on a cruise where they only changed the clocks once. almost everything is done by "ship" time reguardless of local time. This is on advantage of going through the cruiseline in doing side trips. As for your situation, maybe you should have asked the question before booking. star gazer Posted April 14, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2007 jip20 posted a correct statement. Another way, check the time on your itinerary; that time should be on ship's time. Ship time is king, be careful if your tour is not sponsored by the cruise line.
MSN-Travelers Posted April 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2007 I'm sailing on the Vision of the Seas on Sunday and have a question about the time change in PV. I just don't want to miss my tour..... OK, here's the real deal - Check the tours being offered by the ship. If they offer a tour to Las Caletas or the pirate ship then you will have no problem making an 11 AM tour at Los Veranos. Why, these two water based tours leave the cruise ship terminal between 9:00 and 9:15 AM local PV time. If VoS sells an excursion that leaves @ 9 AM than it will be in port and letting off passengers no-later-than 8:30 PV local time. Ship's time, published broucher time ... it doesn't matter. Any ship that sends people to Las Caletas will have you in Vallarta in plenty of time for your 11 AM excursion. Enjoy!
