Not much left to say - Review R714

Well, Charmain has done such a great job in her review there is not much left for me to say.

It is not often that improvements are mentioned in regards to cruising these days but I found a couple. The best was that there is no smoking in the casino at all, what a difference this made - no more smoky clothes. Also there was a couple of new activities and shows on board as Charmain mentioned. Chris the cruise director was great, very friendly and learnt our names fast. He has some great new ideas that he is hoping to implement slowly over the next few months and on the Dawn when she arrives. I was also going to mention that the'yukky' smell on board was heaps improved as I didn't experience it at all but after reading the other threads I realise I was just lucky not to be in the wrong area.

My birthday was fun and I had a great and very memorable time, thanks Charmain for all you arranged. Our little party in the piano bar was great fun although I don't think the pianist thought so as he got the huff and left.

One of the highlights on the cruise for me was my jackpot bingo win on the last day. The prize was $4000 (the jackpot was actually won on the first day as well) but I had to share so received $2000. How good was that!! And the person I had to share with was the sister of a friend of mine from work who was cruising with our group. This was the first time I had ever won anything at bingo on the ship.:)

All our 'new' cruisers except for a couple are planning their next cruise already and told me they now know why I try to cruise at least once per year.

Well luchtime at work is nearly over and the bell is ringing for the next class - so back to reality here with a bang!

Sue:)

PS Great to meet all the other CCers on board!

Sue, I was sitting on one number left for ages. Thought I was going to come home with some cash too...Oh well better luck next time:(

Congratulations on your win and I can guess it will go toward your next cruise?? By the way you did look splendid in your birthday cake hat and it looked as though your day was fabulous.

Welcome home and it was lovely to meet you.:D

Just remembered something else that was new that I liked a printed 'Log of the cruise' giving weather, position, distances etc from every day on the cruise all printed in a nice brochure. I am going to use mine in questions next time we cover navigation in maths classes at school (a topic I hate teaching).

We also got another brochure detailing all the dancers and singers details.:)

We got a Log of the Cruise on my first cruise on Pacific Sky, but we didn't get one on Pacific Sun or Pacific Star, which was a bit of a disappointment.

BTW - pleased to hear the Casino on Star is smoke free now as well.
