Boat Deck.

Now the boat deck is easy to find on Queen Elizabeth 2.

Ditto Quarter Deck and Upper Deck.

On Queen Mary 2 the boat deck is clearly deck 7, and on the Queen Victoria it is deck 3.

I've read references to the Queen Mary 2 "Quarter Deck" - so which would that be and why? Ditto for Queen Victoria.

Ditto (in each case) for Upper Deck.

On QM2 the "boats" , i.e. the lifeboats and the tenders, hang from Deck 8 davits (hence the Deck 8 "obstructed view" balconies); Deck 7 could have been called the "Promenade Deck". However, since the joggers far out number us "promenaders", let's just call it Deck 7.

Queen Elizabeth 2..... Upper Deck.

For the Lower Classes - easy way to remember what was the Transatlantic class deck in the days of Two class crossings.....deck names can be somewhat arbitrary - the Queen Mary's ran (from top downwards): Sports, Sun, Promenade, Main, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H. At some point C deck was renamed 'R' - for Restaurants. The QE2's decks were so named 'in the modern idiom with a sea-going tang' (Potter & Frost, p.89)
