bmccarthy Posted May 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2007 I have heard a lot of people mention drinking hot chocolate on Alaskan cruises. Is it included like coffee or do you have to buy it at Latitudes?
elleluv Posted May 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2007 They have hot chocolate available in the Windjammer and also through room service (the powdered variety, just add hot water). I'm sure you could pay for one at Latitudes, as well... :)
CruiseZapper Posted May 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2007 we always pack us a few package when we travel anywhere, comes in handy.
CAC104 Posted May 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2007 Just add cream to the packaged mix with the hot water and it tastes pretty good. For room service you can order a carafe of hot chocolate and they will bring you the hot water and packages, but be sure to ask for milk or cream with it. We had a balcony cabin on our Alaska cruise and we continually ordered hot drinks from room service while we watched the scenery from our balcony. kingsgirl Posted May 2, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2007 So they bring you the packets and hot water? What a wonderful idea.
CAC104 Posted May 2, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 2, 2007 Usually, when you order room service tea or hot chocolate they bring the hot water and tea bags and/or hot choc. packages. If you order coffee, it comes already made. We always take lots of one dollar bills with us so we can tip the room service personnel a few dollars, and we always got our orders really quickly. You can order anything to eat with it....I must say in Alaska, we had so much fun ordering room service and then sitting out on the balcony watching the scenery go by....We took the big towels from the pool to wrap around us to keep warm.
