Transportation Fort Lauderdale to Mia port

Has anyone used Sun and Moon transportation? The price is very reasonable. $65 each way .

Thanks

We used the Tri-Rail Train to make from Ft. Lauderdale Airport to Miami Airport. It is quite convenient (we didn't have much luggages - only one carry-on per person, and we were not in a hurry to catch the flight) - you take a free shuttle bus from FLL (it circles around the airport terminals) to get to the train station, then take a south-bound train to Maimi airport train station, from there shuttle bus (also free) will take you to the terminals.

The Tri-Rail train from FLL to MIA cost $3.00 per person each way (weekend prices are even cheaper). It takes ~40 minutes from FLL train station to MIA station. From FLL airport terminal to MIA airport terminal it took us about 1.5 hour total (including taking shuttle buses and waiting for train/buses).

There are website for Tri-Rail Train and shuttle bus schedule.

If you have a lot of luggages and are in a hurry to get to Miami airport, this may not be a good option though.

I'd pass on our Tri-Rail. It's very unreliable, prone to constant breakdowns, late arrivals and departures etc. It's not uncommon for passengers to be stranded for hours on the train. Imagine heading to your cruiseship on this train and over the crackle of the speakers you hear that your trains going to be stuck for an hour or two until the one in front of it can be moved.....

The Tri-County Airport Express offers a very reliable, quick and efficient shared ride shuttle to the port for $18 per person. No reservations are required.

When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of the starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "AIRPORT EXPRESS" in red on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you.

You can also ride in a private town car for $64 to the port. No reservations, deposit required. Just let the starter know you want a town car and your all set. ;)
