Fern Grotto closed?

In the course of visiting more websites than I can recall while planning our July trip, I could have sworn I saw someplace that Fern Grotto on Kauai is currently closed. I can't find any information on that now that I'm finalizing plans, of course. Does anyone know or have a link I can check? Thanks!

I've read that it is open again as of mid April but the cave is still closed. This is what I pulled off the web:

 

After almost a year of closure the Fern Grotto has reopened.

 

The loose rocks have been removed and some fencing has been put up to prevent more rocks from coming down.

The vegetation has had time to grow again.

 

The cave area is no longer accessible. It is not planned to be reopened.

We were on the Pride of Aloha the first week of May. We went with a tour from the ship to the Grotto. The cave is not open, but it is worth the trip.
