I take you are talking about Rhodes in Greece?

 

We were there in 2000. It's a beautiful island. The castle at Rhodes is full of Greek and Roman history.

 

We had no desire to swim,snorkel or dive, like most of the Mediterranean there is little sea life left after being over fished for centuries, but what a place to visit you can spend days there exploring and learning about the past civilizations that lived here.
