parking at pier in nyc

if you live close enough where livery service is an option, i would look into that method instead.

for me it worked out in 2003 on the Norwegian Sea. we had 7 people with us...so multiple cars would not have been cost effective. plus who the heck wants to drive down the west side hwy when ships are in port.

TIP: it has been my experience when driving on the west side hwy, uptown, to go all the way up to the Boat Basin exit...do a U turn and come back down. i think it's far better than trying to make that left turn to get to the terminal.

but then i guess it all depends on when you plan to arrive at the pier.

Another option I always do, depending where you are coming from? But I drive to and park in Poughkeepsi, $20/week and take Metro North into Grand Central, about $25 round trip, off peak. A cab is cheap, but I always take the 42 bus and walk a few blocks- $2.
