Has anyone ever stayed in an obstructed view cabin on the Carnival Elation on the Verandah deck in the Suites?

The diagram shows a lifeboat in the way....how much of the lifeboat is actually blocking the balcony?

depends on which of the 6 cabins you picked.

Staterooms with partially obstructed views:

VERANDAH DECK: V23,V25,V27,V34,V38 & V42.

3 cabins on each side.

last three cabins on the row will have the obstruction:

the first balcony will have the steel arm that holds the lifeboat

the next cabin will have a front of th lifeboat

I just returned from the Carnival Legend and what I found in my partially obstructed view was lifeboat #12. We couldnt see up, down or ouy. Were unable to leave the drapes open becasue the catwalk for the boats were outside the window and they inspect them everyday at differing times. This was my 5th cruise and was horrible disappointed with the cabin and my travel agent. So if you have another choice I wouldnt risk it

That is a completly different class of ship we are talking about.

The above poster was asking baout Fantasy Class ships which the only balconies on that ship is suites. there are no other balcony available.

What you had was a cat 5A which is an oceanview obstructed. At least you got to open the doors for freah air.

Did your agent tell you that these were obstructed oceanviews?

Did yu book an oceanview guarantee or book this room directly?
