Coastal helicopter in Juneau.

We are thinking of taking the Coastal helicopter Icefield Excursion in Juneau. Has anyone taken this tour and if so is it good? It is a lot more reasonable from the ships tour and sounds like about the same trip.

Coastal's tours are very good in Juneau,would recommend over ship's trip. Lots of people here on CC use Coastal.

We used Coastal last year and had a great visit to the Herbert Glacier outside Juneau. But, I thought the boots they provided didn't supply enough traction on the glacier ice. Maybe it was just me, but I found the footing so unsure that I was timid about wandering too far from the chopper. On the other hand, my 10 year old son roamed far and wide without incident. You might want to consider packing a pair of those ice grippers that install over your shoes.
