Has anyone been in an oceanview cabin on the main deck of the conquest? Was told it is an extended cabin. Not sure what that means. Didn't really want a balcony, but wanted an oceanview. Any other info about the conquest from past guests would be great!! Thanks

Jody

Do you have a cabin number? None of the cabins on the Main deck have a balcony so you don't have to worry about that. If you will go to the Carnival website, www.carnival.com and select Fun Ships, and then select Conquest, then Deck plans, and click on Main Deck, you will see the layout of all cabins. You'll note some of the cabins at the rear of the ship are extended due to the shape of the ship. Personally, I cruise in a balcony cabin, but if I wanted an oceanview cabin, one of the extended ones looks good to me.

We were on deck six (a balcony cabin) and I thought this was a great location. We were right in the middle of the ship just around the corner from the elevator and stairs. Everything is on deck 5 so all you had to do was walk down the stiars and you can get to anything and not have to wait on elevators.

I was in 6202 on the Conquest last November. It is an "obstructed" oceanview on the bow of the ship. Since this was an upgrade from an inside guarantee, I was thrilled with the location. For the record, I also didn't know this was an obstructed view until I was researching cabin locations for my next trip. I thought the view was great. I loved deck 6 for the reasons mentioned above. We were close to all the action and it wasn't a big deal to take the stairs instead of the elevators.
