Blue Chip Club

Anyone of you who got invited in the casino to become a member of the Blue Chip Club ? And if so, when did you receive any vouchers, other documents, Blue Chip Club card, etc... in short : any proof that you were actually member of this club ?

On our last cruise, Galaxy 6/1/07 we were asked by the slot technicians if we wanted to be rated and become a member of the BCC. They explained what it was and we agreed. We filled in some forms and they told us we were going to receive vouchers and our club cards before our next cruise, if necessary with an express mail. That was the Millennium 7/12 which was cancelled. Next week thursday we're leaving on the Century, but until now we still received nothing, a month and 14 days after we left the Galaxy. I' ve send several mails to customer service and Captains Club, but these were never answered. I called our international rep, but they can't reach the person who is responsible for the BCC (not present, voice mail, etc..).

Anyone of you who also was asked to be rated in a Celebrity casino and had a similar experience ?

Never heard of BCC.

I gamble (donate money to Cruise lines) on tables vs slots, but only a little. On the other hand, Martha can explain every slot in the casino to me.:) She is not aware of BCC.

I like idea of BCC though if it gets you comps!:)

My mom, sister and I are members of the Blue Chip Club. It's relatively new and it took about 3 months to get the cards sent to us. It has some great benefits such as upgraded cabins, free dinner in the alternate restaurant, free drinks, rebates on your gambling on your next cruise, and free casino cruises. So far, we've been offered two free cruises from the casino, but we weren't able to take them because we had already scheduled and paid for cruises either right before or right after the free cruise.

Kitty9, did a Casino host approach you, while you were gambling, or did you ask about a Casino program? Is there a specfic minimum you are expected to gamble per day, per hour, etc. I really interested in this program.

Thanks in advance,

Karyn

Today we received a phonecall from Celebrity and were confirmed by a very nice gentleman that from now on we're members of the BCC. Our membership cards and credits will be handed over on our next cruise, which starts next week.:)

Karyn, we were approached by a casino host on the third day of our cruise. I don't know what the minimum limits are to be invited, all I can say is that whe always spend a lot of time in the casino when we're on a cruise (only in the evenings. During the day we like to enjoy our excursions or the nice weather).

Karyn, the casino manager approached us, we didn't seek him out. They knew that we like to gamble, and that we tend to spend quite a bit in the casino, so they offered us the BCC. The manager on board told us that they prefer their BCC clients to spend in the four figures before giving them a BCC card. The freebees don't kick in until you've gambled a pretty high amount.
