Chilkoot Charters out of Skagway???

Has anyone used or heard anything about Chilkoot Charters out of Skagway? They offer whale watching tours, as well as both salmon and halibut fishing trips. I am having trouble fitting all these things in together in Juneau, as our ship is only there from 7 am to 4 pm.

We'll be in Skagway much longer, and think I could manage the timing better there. But if these excursions are not as good as in Juneau, then it would not be worth it. In Juneau we were trying to use Northstar for glacier trekking and Captain Larry for whale watching. The chilkootcharters.com website looks pretty good, but WHO KNOWS!!?

Experience or advice gladly accepted! icon_biggrin.gif

thanks

Chilkoot Charters is probably the oldest and certainly the largest of the boat operators in Skagway. Their salmon fishing trips are great, halibut somewhat less so and forget whale-watching (whales in Skagway are not common at all).
