Are there Safety boxes on the Crown ?

They are electronically operated - the instructions to set your number and open/close the safe (they are very straightforward) are on the front of the safe. The safe is normally in the tall cupboard next to the closet.

The Crown does have in-cabin safes as described. However, they are annoying. They continue to beep if you leave the safe door open. It is easy to mess up the combination. In one case we had to call engineering to have the safe opened. Once we learned the safe's peculiarities, we were fine with it.

The safe is very easy to operate, but ours got locked because the battery was dying. Engineering had to come up and replace the battery a few days before the end of the cruise because it wouldn't let me open it.
