Sailgal05 Posted August 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2007 While in the many ports your ship visits, has anyone gone to the Harbormaster and gotten their passport stamped? This was required when we arrived by sailboat and is wonderful to page through it now and see the many stamps. It's a shame to carry the book and miss all those opportunities. So, is this allowed while on a cruise?
kitty9 Posted August 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2007 They don't stamp passports in the Caribbean anymore. Heck, even in Europe, you have to get really lucky to get stamps. You can waste lots of time looking for a place for passports stamps, but since you're not in ports for a long time, it's not all that great of an idea to be hunting for someone to stamp your passport. curlyd Posted August 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2007 March 06 we boarded The Empress of the Seas for an 11 night Caribbean cruise - gave our passports to the Purser and they got them stamped at 3 or 4 different islands. Not all islands will stamp it. We took the same cruise March 07 but since we already had the stamps we didn't drop them at the Purser's desk. So check at the Purser's desk to see if they still do that. We found that info here on CC and it worked for us.:D
