Holiday Cruise Questions??

We are looking at booking the Dec 19/08 to Jan 3/09 holiday cruise on Mercury and need some help.

 

We'd be in Honolulu on Christmas Day...Dec 25/08. What excursions are available and is everything open (malls...Memorial..etc?) on this day? I've been to Honolulu before but hubby hasn't and we want to see and do as much as possible at this port. We'll be in port from 8:00am to 11:00pm so have a whole day! :D

 

If you have done this holiday cruise before... please share your experience. I can't seem to get any Christmas Day excursion info on the Celebrity website??

I would suspect that most everything will be closed Dec 25th.

There will be many closures on Christmas Day. Both Pearl Harbor and The USS Missouri site are closed, as are most shops in the large malls like Ala Moana. Bishop Museum also closed., as is the Polynesian Cultural Center....might be a good day to just relax and wak the beach a bit.

Just as mainland stores, attractions, etc., close on Chistmas, so do many of those in HI.
