kasualkathy Posted August 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2007 Sister-in-law's passport did not arrive. Everyone else received theirs. She checked and it's lost and they will track. We are not traveling until March of 2008. This happen to anyone else? Should she do something?
OldBaldGuy Posted August 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2007 It depends on who lost it. If the USPS lost it, I would go here http://http://travel.state.gov/passport/lost/us/us_848.html to report it. If the State Dept lost it, that is a horse of a different color... cherylandtk Posted August 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2007 How long has it been 'lost'? Has she been following the status online? If not, go to the website (travel.state.gov) and follow the link to the passport application status page. It sounds as if the Passport Agency now knows that the passport never arrived and will check the delivery and tracking information and will contact sis when they know 'where' it was lost. They may find it or may have to re-issue.
