Just returned from Jewel Med.

This was the 1st cruise from my husband and I. We had a pentouse room in the AFT section of the boat. We enjoyed the cruise immensely. The cocktail party with the captain and staff was wonderful. We found the staff to be very friendly and always willing to help.

 

We went on 2 shore excursions, one to Pompeii and the other in Rome. We loved them both but they didn´t give us time to shop and that stunk.

 

Overall we loved the restuarants and everything. We would definitely cruise again.

Hi - We're going on the Jewel in October. Which shore excursions did you pick for Rome and Pompeii? What restaurants did you try on board - how far in advance did you make reservations?

We were also on last week's sailing of the Jewel. I would like to thank everyone for their help and advise.

We used RomeinLimo for 3 port stops. All of their driver's were terrific. Aaron, our driver in Messina took us to the most amazing restaurant in Positino.

We were not thrilled with the food on the ship. Ruth, was wonderful. She made us, reservations in all of the restaurant's.

Reservations must be made as soon as you get on the ship. Otherwise, you'll be eating in the main dining room's all week.

The casino was empty most nights. We never made it to any of the shows.

Used the gym several times...it was packed.

All in all....it was a great trip.
