We've done deck 9 on SOS (9548) and would not do anything lower. The rooms on deck 9 are the largest (except for suites/junior suites). That little bit of extra space is quite nice and as previous poster indicated, it's very convenient to Deck 11 for the pool and Windjammer. Also, all cabins on deck 9 are oceanview and only a couple (toward the front) are obstructed (by a staircase).

AQUSIS - Thanks for the input. Hubby and I will be staying in 9532. I can't wait to go. This will be a very nice Christmas since we sail out of Florida on Christmas Eve and will spend Christmas Day in Nassau/Paradise Island.

If you have an oceanview on deck 7, be prepared to keep your drapes closed. the promanade-walking/jogging track is on deck 7 so there are lots of people walking by your window. Other than that, deck 7 is very convenient. Casino and shops just 2 decks down. Schooner bar, show lounge etc all very close.

We have stayed in 9528 and LOVED IT. Great location as it is close to the elevators if our memory serves us right. Don't worry about elevator or passenger noise, did not notice any and we are light sleepers. You will love it.
