Miata6 Posted September 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2007 We visited the Tarquinian Tombs while docked in C-vecchia two years ago. Very interesting as you can see how many of the ancient burial themes were adopted and expanded upon by the Etruscans. The local museum was also excellent. Don't miss the "Tarquinian Horses". All in all, a fine day.
Rare cruisemom42 Posted September 16, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2007 I don't think you can go too wrong with either one. Depends whether you are more interested in the Romans (Ostia Antica) or Etruscans (Tarquinia). You might get prettier scenery on the Tarquinia trip.
