24 hr buffet

My BF and I will be cruising on the Spirit for the first time, his first my 6th cruise overall. Does the Spirit have 24 hr buffets? Are the restaurants really good? Thanks in advance....way in advance..LOL.

As you know food is subjective, whether you are happy with the spirit food will depend a lot on what lines you have cruised before and what you expect. I have cruised all but on mass marketed lines. with the exception of HAL I have found the food to pretty similar. What line does well another will not do well, but will feature something better than the competition. Overall we love the specailty dining rooms, have not been disappointed in the main dining rooms but think room service and the buffets have a ways to go. As for 24 hour buffet no, but the ships do feature 24 hour dining in the Blue Lagoon which is like the old fashion diner sort of or maybe a coffee shop. The serve hamburgers, dogs, soup, salad, great fisth and chips, awesome buffalo wings, etc.

Yes, the Blue Lagoon is quite good, but the portions are small. (For example, the fish & chips is 2-3 finger size pieces and some french fries.) If you are dining there as a meal, or just like larger portions, you may want to order a double portion.

 

They usually put a midnight buffet out at the casino, too...nothing fancy...sandwiches, pigs in a blanket, cookies, etc.
