Serenity Blue Snow Posted October 22, 2007 Author #51 Share Posted October 22, 2007 You are funny! In general, I find that people who cruise are the friendliest bunch of travelers anywhere! Don't know if they will have a 50's night. Navy, grey and pink...love it.. I leave Friday for the group hotel in Miami. My countdown has begun! See you soon! blcfree Posted October 22, 2007 #52 Share Posted October 22, 2007 pack? Oh my.. I have been so busy, and still have much to do.. Decided to by pass the costume this year.. I am in this really serene spot, running the rat race and trying to remember that the winner of the race is still a rat. So, this trip for me might just be real laid back,,,Toss a few hawain dresses and some shorts and tshirts in a suitcase and go on about the business of being happy, joyous and free..:D Hmm, maybe one formal..I bet I will want to have dinner with the gang!! Serenity Blue Snow Posted November 22, 2010 Author #56 Share Posted November 22, 2010 I have been going on "Sober Cruises" exclusively for nearly 10 years now. The term is a misnomer, as there is always alcohol on ships. It simply identifies a group of people who want to go on a cruise and stay sober as they are in recovery from alcoholism and drugs. I wouldn't take any cruise other than a "Gratitude Cruise" with the company who puts them on as they are the best organized, planned and escorted by someone sober over 35 years. The Gratitude Cruises go all over the world in fellowship and are planned long in advance on the most incredible ships at sea, some even before they are even built! There are daily 12 step meetings, Keynote Speakers and many more fellowship events exclusively for Gratitude Cruise guests. They had almost 350 people onboard one Halloween and continue to deliver a 5 star experience no matter what ship they are on. The 9th Annual Halloween Gratitude Cruise was just on Oasis of the Seas and it was awesome!
