QE2 Featured On GMTV THIS MORNING!

It appears that the ITV weather is being reported from the coast of Scotland this morning, where they are awaiting the arrival of the QE2 :)

Thanks! Looks like they got good(ish) weather at least - the presenter should stick to the weather tho - claiming that the QE2 was fitted out in Greenock.....:rolleyes:

Is she not partially correct, the QE2 was dry docked at Greenock after leaving Clydebank - I thought for some of the fitting out.

Also said that it would be the last chance for many people to see her.... I guess they could all be away when she goes back next year....

Not really - she said that after launching she was towed down to Greenock for fitting out - the only reason there was any fitting out at Greenock was because it had not been completed at Clydebank - Greenock was primarily to dry dock her & clean the hull ahead of speed trials - she was (virtually) completed on Clydebank.

I'm not sure what the weather is like now, but when I was there this morning around 10ish, it was pretty dreich.
