Oceania changes itinerary for Dec. 9tsh

Hi, I am very upset that Oceania has switched the trip to Iguacu Falls to the end of the cruise. That leaves only the disembarkation day to see Buenos Aires. Is there anything we can do about it?

Have you considered booking the Iguassu Falls excursion on your own? Most people who do so spend much less money. Also, it is nice to spend a couple of nights at the Falls as you will want to see both sides and possibly take in a culture show as well.

Taking the trip to Iguazu Falls on your own from Buenos Aires will cost you about half what Oceania charges. With the money you save, you can stay for two more nights in Buenos Aires and enjoy the city. You just need to get your plane reservations changed and a hotel booked, which shouldn't be too difficult.

 

All this assumes, of course, that you have the time to extend your trip.

 

Just curious. Did you just find out about this change two months before departure?

My travel agent sent me an email on October 8th regarding the change. I think it is unfair to do this within 2 months of departure. I will look into doing the falls on my own.

We are also on this cruise. This itinerary change was made after final payment for our cruise was made in September. We just received notice of the change on Oct 8th. The O trip to Igauzu Falls was being held in the middle of the cruise. Now all the ports after Porto Bello were moved up one day and Iguazu Falls is planned from BA, leaving one less day in BA. We are not happy and cancelled out of the Falls. If we go to the Falls we will book it on our own. We had a private guide lined up for Uruguay whose dates got changed as well. A lot of trouble with very little warning and after final payment! We are not happy with Oceania.
