Rental car code questions/concerns

First off, thanks to whoever compiled the rental car codes as found in this thread.

I know this question has been asked but I need to ask it again.

I did a little research and found that the best deal for a week rental for me is using Hertz and their COSTCO code.

Does anyone know if this is for Costco members, employees, or what?

My concern is what happens if they ask for a Costco ID card when I pick up the car. Or do they seldom ask for ID?

OK, answered my own question. The rental Car code for Costco is for bookings through Costco Travel. The rate I get by booking through them is the same as if booking directly with Hertz.

Website indicated renter should be prepared to show Hertz their Costco membership. Easy enough as we are Costco members.
