Serenade of the Seas - sewage smell

Planning an Alaska cruise next summer. Like itinery of the Serenade but keep reading about strong sewage odor. Have any firsthand knowledge? Are they doing anything about it?

It seems ALL ships have this problem at some time or other--At least, every ship we've been on has had it somewhere at sometime. Yes, it's annoying. I wish I knew why it happens. We had to keep all the drains closed and that seemed to mitigate the problem a bit.

Since it seems to be a "hit or miss" problem, I don't think I'd let it deter me from the trip I wanted!

I was on the ship and never had a problem with smells or anything else for that matter. Not sure where you are reading about this but sometimes it is just a intermittent problem and never again.
