I think the VK Silk Road would be a great trip.

On the Cultural Delights Tour, my tour escort, Arnold had been working on the Silk Road itinerary for Viking River. I think Arnold will be the (or one) of the tour escorts for Silk Road in 2008.

Arnold and Larry were the first two native Chinese hired by Viking River for the VR tours and cruises. Arnold and Larry helped to set up the entire Cultural Delights program. During the off season Arnold has been working on the Silk Road offering.

Arnold understands what many American's are looking for and the cultural problems some American may have on the tours.

Sorry I cannot be more help. I would like to do the Silk Road trip. It would let me visit more of China and also spend time in cities I visited on my recent trip.
