;) We booked our cruise and got lucky with the carnival sales and got a free upgrade to this room. Can any one tell us about it? We sail 10/20/08. How big is a extended balcony compared to the standard balcony? Is the Miracle a great ship? what about Nick and Nora's supper club.? LOL just dying to know! lol Any great trips for St. Lucia? St. Kitts?

We have an extend balcony 12/01/2007 cabin 8163. Little longer and wider. More room to move around. You will love the Mircale, it was our first Carnival Cruise 2 yrs ago. It is always rated one of Carnival's highest. Best thing to do when you first get aboard. Get lost! go down all the halls and up and down each deck. Then get a map from the Pursers Desk, you will know all the ships areas.

Have fun

You are going to absolutely love the Miracle. We sailed on her in June and had a fabulous time. From the service to the food to everything in between, everything was wonderful. So many cruisers on this site love the Miracle.

I started a thread called "All Things Miracle". Why don't you check it out. There is a lot of great info in there. Here is the link.

We were in 5131... we picked it because of proximity to Camp Carnival. you will LOVE the extra space... GREAT ship.

On St. Lucia, you can do a day pass at Sandals... and the Marriott St. Kitts is VERY nice, and you can do a day pass there, too!

We had the extended balcony room 7258 on our honeymoon and loved it! The balcony is at least twice as big as a normal one and easily accomodated 2 regular chairs, a small table, and a lounge chair. The room was plenty spacious for the 2 of us with plenty of storage. As for other questions...

Nick and Noras gets lots of great reviews here, but it wasn't that great for us. The singers were terrible (sounded like cats singing and we aren't picky) and the food was just ok for the price. We were placed on the second floor with one other couple, and the waiters seemed to forget about us frequently. (We had to pour our own champagne and water.) While we certainly are not cheap and really enjoy "specialty" dining, this place didn't really impress us.

As for St. Lucia, I highly recommend the zip line via a private tour. While our tour was a little lengthy with time in the car, the "cultural experience" was outstanding. The ziplining was the most beautiful we've ever done! You fly above the mountains on the lines and the staff there is wonderful.

Whatever you do, you'll have a wonderful time! (Enjoy the pink dining room lights...they won't ruin your experience but they aren't exactly elegant.)
