Christmas Day - St Martin

We're going to be in St Martin on Christmas Day. Can anybody tell me what is opened and closed on Christmas Day?

Will I be able to shop on Front Street? Are stores open/closed in general that day? What about restaurants?

Thanks so much for the info.

St Martin is known as the best beach in the S Carribean so I'd go with it's strengths. I suspect you're going to lose a significant portion of your stores on that day. The shopping talk the day before will give you an opportunity to ask. You might check whether excursions are avail that day to know about tourist things.

Most shops will be closed because of the holiday.

Shops at the cruise facility (and the airport) will be open.

Bars and restaurants will be open.

Beach services should be available.

Taxi's and tours should be available, but with fewer vehicles operating.

Also see this prior discussion here.
