Good Morning, I'm live from an almost empty Internet Cafe aboard the Golden Princess. Internet connection is great today, very fast! Let's see what can I tell yopu so far. It was abouyt 55 degrees as we left LA yesterday. We had a small meet and greet at the Sailaway party about 10 people atended, not bad. Richard Joseph is now the cruise director, his first cruise back after a 4 month vacation! We have anytime dining and got a great table in the Bernini dining room so we reserved it for the week. Table 46 a 2 seater right by the door so we can see everyone come and go! :) Had Prime Rib for dinner last night, not bad. We always like the mushrtoom soupo served on the Sailaway menu, yummy! Getting warmer, 60 degrees already! We're in a mini midship and it's great as always! Going to sign up for a $50 poker tourny now! I'll try and report back when I get a chance!

Hi all. I'll look for the captains name for you soon. It was in yesterdays Patter. We had the buffet for lunch yesterday and today. Yesterday the Salmon was very good and they also had meetballs made with white meat (veal?) in a lemon yougut sauce that were wonderful! Today they had smoked mahi mahi and pan fried red snapper in a shruimp sauce that my wife and I loved! Up to 65 degrees now! Two poker tournies for the week one tommorow at 11AM for $50 and a $100 one later in the week. I'm in for tommorow! Sign up start the day before at 9 AM and is already sold out! The casino seems to have more penny slots than they used too. Ballroom dancing was overflowing today! So far they have shower Oceans 13 and Evan Almighty in the theatre. We plan on seeing a comedian tonight, it's formal night and they are setting up for pics already. The entire atrium is decorated for Christmas! That's all for now!

Morning all. Let's see David Calabrese is the captain on this cruise and yes we do have Cristal and Rico at our table. They are great! Rico just came over from Rennisance and used to be with Regent Seven Seas so he really knows proper service. He made my wife a beautiful flower from a paper napkin! I had the Cornish Hen for dinner last night and it was really good, my wife had the Beef Filet also good. Today was Ultimate Breakfast day for us so we're stuffed! And on day one we did write in extras on our regular breakfast menu and it was delivered. We wrote in bacon, english muffins and bagels. More later.

Sonomaphil - Thanks so much for keeping us posted on your sailing. Perhaps you can include weather and temps too. We will be on this trip Jan. 5th and hoping that weather holds up for us. Thanks again for taking the time to do this for your fellow CC'ers! Marilyn:D

Sorry if the question is dumb, you mention an Internet cafe, can one buy a daily connection and log on with their own laptop as well? Trying to justify taking my laptop. If so whats the daily fee? Thanks

Beautiful day today! About 80 and sunny! A little choppy as we passed Cabo, we're rocking and rolling a bit but nothing major. We won the Morning Show Trivia contest for yesterday! LOL Got a Princess bag. And I know my answers are correct for this morning show! The pools all range from 82 to 86 degrees acording to the map channel. Tommorow is PV and supposed to be mid 80's and sunny. We have massages scheduled at the Krystal and then in Mazatlan Randi's Happy Horses. Last night we say Ed Ragine a commedian in the Vista Lounge. I've seen him on Leno before.

By the way, as you can tell their is no order to my posts! It's just as I think of it I tell you!

Phil,

So nice of you to send reports of your cruise "live" so the rest of us can sit in the cold and be jealous.

I was on the 11/10 Golden sailing and also enjoyed time in the casino tournaments.

Would you do me a big favor? First, say hello to Maxine (if you are in any casino tournament, you know who she is) from Linn.

While on my cruise, I won a $1400 jackpot on the penny slots and had to fill out a form for IRS. Maxine said she would send me a report of my casino "losses" to file along with the winnings so I wouldn't owe too much tax on it. Would you remind her that I am still waiting? I think it comes from Ocean Players Club, but maybe she can check on it.

Thanks and have a great cruise. You will be back in the rain and cold with the rest of us soon enough.

Hi from PV! Just back from our day at the Krystal hotel. TWO 75 minute massages for $75 TOTAL plus you get to use the facilities for the day. It must be a good place a great many of the ships crew take advantage of this place. Must have been 30 of them around the pool. It a great place to relax and enjoy the beach. It's now a must do when in PV. Massages righjt on the beach! It's maybe a 15 minute walk from the ship. Great weather day, 80 degrees or so, mild humidity. Dinner was Continental night last night. I had 3 orders of escargots! I love them! Buffet last night had frogs legs on it, but they were not on the dinner menu go figure! I have to say the food has been very good on this ship, not perfect mind you. First night my wife had a pasta and chicken dish that she didnt care for and someone at lunch yesterday sent back her pasta. Hmmm, a trend? Tonight is Italian night so I'll see for myself. Well time for the sailaway party aft, also ther is a Mexican Buffet late night tonight, lunch buffet yesterday had many mnexican speciaklties, I remmeber seeing a criticism that no Mexican food was server, not true.

Tommorow is Mazatlan and Randi's Happy Horses!

hi

We were on the Golden Princess last week and we did enjoy very much our cruise. By the way we were sitting at the table 49, being served by guess who? Cristel and Ricco. As you said they were so great. Would you please say to them a big hello from Céline and Michel. Have a nice cruise as we did. Bye!

You're making me jealous! How I remember the deck party on PV day, that was alot of fun...lots of dancing. Is Bombolero still on board? They were pretty good.

I just booked for the Sapphire next year (yeah).....counting the days.

We did Randi's Horses, had a blast, be prepared to be sore...and tell your wife to wear a good support bra!

Let's see where to start! Mazatlan time is on ships time, only PV is still one hour ahead after you set your clock ahead the first night. I'll try to get to maxine for you Linn.

Where about to sailaway from Mazatlan, great day. About 80 degrees again and sunny. Randi was great I reccomend her hightly. Last year we toured with Mazatlan Frank and we say him again today, Randi and him are good friends. Riding was so much fun, I've never done it before. I have great pics and viceo that I will post when I get back! Victors on the beach for lunch was real good just like everyone says. Thge coconut shrimp atre wonderful. A HUGH platter of shrimp is $11! We now have confirmation, this ship does fish reall well. My wife had the turbot last night and it was great. I had the pot roast and it was OK. Tonight is the Chef's Dinner and the frogs legs stre on tonight menu as an app, go figure! We just lounged by the pool when we returned from riding. I think I slept a tad. :p Sorry I don't have more for you about the entertianment, we just don't get to too many shows. The Dawn and the RCI Vison were in port today too, busy day here in Mazatlan! OK, here we go, I think thrusters are pushing us back right now! I'm in the Library, 2 computers are set up in here. Time for some wine and to get on deck!

Hey Phil, I'm so glad you're having such a good time! Love your posts. Makes me envious since I was on the Golden not so long ago as well. I was wondering if Paul is still the DCD? He was definitely a highlight on my trip. Haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Glad to hear there's a new CD though... Anyways, is there a way you could find out if he'll still be on the ship in Feburary? I'm planning a cruise either 2/2/08 or 2/23/08 depending on scheduling at work. If you could thanks, and if not, so sweat. Enjoy the rest of your cruise and drink a few Pina Coladas for all of us!!!:D

I heard he was very funny too. Unfortunately I never did any of the wine tasting or other activities he was hosting. Is he the one who was at the champagne waterfall helping people take pics? If he's still on in Feburary, I'll make a point of doing the wine tasting.
