dadofmike Posted September 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2004 Hi folks, I am planning a cruise with my 15-yo son next summer and have narrowed it down to 2 choices - Carnival Legend 8 days East Carribean on June 30 or RCI Voyager of Seas 9 days West Carribean on Jul 1. It will be a first cruise for both of us. Would appreciate any thoughts that would help me choose. Specifically Which ship would my 15 yo enjoy better Eastern vs Western Carribean in late June/early July size of rooms, service, food, etc. Thanks in advance for any help. NYcruisefamily Posted September 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2004 Hello- Noth itineraries are great, as are both ships. Since it is the summer, you'll probably have plenty of teens his age. Both have good teen programs. As far as room size, Carnival is slightly bigger, but for the two of you either would be accurate. The Voyager is a much bigger ship so you have several additional acrivities that mgiht appeal to your son (skating, rock climbing, mini golf). So, I might not be much help, but either choice would be a great choice. Enjoy!
serene56 Posted September 10, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2004 I loved the Voyager- I loved my Carnival cruises. My kids had a blast on all our cruises. They prefer Carnival. (I go with price) I would check out the ports of call board to see what they offer and what you may like to do. I, personally think there is more to do on the Western side for kids of your sons age.
