lisalovlee33 Posted December 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2007 We would like to see the S.O. House from the waters. Anyone knows which ferry will give us the best vantage point of the Opera House? Thanks in advance.
Aussie Gal Posted December 21, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2007 The ferry to Mosman or the one to Manly are the best to get. Or if you are going to visit the Zoo then that one will also pass the Opera House. Jennie
Tredebo Posted December 21, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 21, 2007 The regular ferries are great - particularly the Manly ferry run. The ice cream parlour at the end of The Corso is worth the trip alone! Matilda operate a cruise around the middle harbour from Darling Harbour. It runs a commentary and has a snack bar on board. It gives you a more leisurely opportunity to see the sights than the regular ferry service. I took my daughter on it last year and if you strike a fine day, it really is an enjoyable trip and not too expensive. The web site has a lot more info on it. Aussie Cruisers Posted December 23, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2007 I like the ferry to Fort Dennison... that is the fortified island in the middle of the harbour. Great views and the tour is great too! JMHO. Mark. :)
