Capt Greg w/Dockside Charter in Skagway

Just a comment that Skagway is the poorest of all ports for fishing. Although Greg will find you fish, you might spend a LOT of time travelling to where the fish are. Although the fish are close to Skagway on occasion, more often the boats are running to Haines or even Icy Strait.

I appreciate all the responses.

We are not big fisherman, at all.

We are a family and we like to fish when the opportunity comes up.

Especially my 11 yo DD.

We are sorta tied to having to fish in Skagway.

Our other ports are all filled up with excursions.

Things that really can't be cancelled. Or...I don't want to cancel them.

So, seeing a little of our "background", will Skagway fishing be a big disappointment for us?

Will we know any better?

If we catch one big fish.....

take pictures....

perhaps ship it home,

I think we will be satisfied.

Your thoughts...

Thanks.
