We booked through our travel agent. We didn't rent a car but in hindsight I wished we would have. We took the bus out to Pearl Harbor and back and it took probably 3 hours to get there and back. It would have been much faster in a car.

Our rate did not include breakfast but it did include the tax. The restaurant on premises wasn't all that good so I was glad that it didn't. A couple of people that were on our cruise got budget accomodations that included a car rental. One paid $69 and one paid $109 so you might want to look into that. Unfortunately I don't know which hotels they stayed at but ours was in a better location. If you had a car maybe it wouldn't matter. I liked being so close to the beach.

Sorry to keep bothering you - is your TA local or online? How was the cruise? How was Oahu - we have never been to Hawaii - I have looked into the Waikiki Resort and have seen reviews from good to terrible on some of the websites - we only intend to sleep and shower there not live there - is it OK for that???
