Tender Time Question

Recommended Posts

Our ship (Miracle) arrives at 7:00am (Ship time), our independent excursion begins at 8:30am (Belize time) which means 9:30 am ship time.

Assuming I have the above straight, and since we get into Belize so early, going down to catch the tender about 45 minutes before our excursion should be okay, right? Or am I a bit naive:confused: ?

Thank you!

Depends on how your ship handles the tender service.

Most cruise lines get the ships tours off first then the other people have to get a ticket to get off.

Usually you go to the lounge & get the ticket & they call the number/colour when the tender is available.

It takes about 20-30 minute to get to the dock depending on where the ship is

You are correct in the times for your ship, the Miracle, and Belize time. We had a 8:30am Belize time excursion with Coral Breeze and got off the ship in plenty of time.

Take a copy of your shore excursion, your passports with you down to the Phantom lounge. There will be a line to get checked in. Go down to the front of Phantom lounge and talk to the Carnival person in charge. Tell him that you have a non Carnival excursion at 8:30 Belize time. When we did this he gave us a tendered number and we went to the gangway and were on a tendered quickly. Give yourself AT LEAST 45 minutes to get from the Miracle to Belize port. We got there early and left for our excursion early. If not there are shops close by that your can browse.:)

Southwardbound,

Thanks for your reply. We are also going with Coral Breezes (Bannister Island). Our total count is 12, all on 1 reservation. Should we all be there with our passports or just one from each family?

The line for check in is for carnival only excursions I assume?

The line is for ALL excursions. You should ALL be together with proof of excursion ( just something from Coral Breeze off the internet) and your passports. When you get to the back of Phantom Lounge there will be carnival representatives taking ONLY Carnival tours. Go to the front of Phantom Lounge (by the stage). When we were there, there was a big guy handing out tender tickets. He won't give them to you unless all your party is there with passports. Remember that Belize time is an hour behind ship time. Have a blast. We did!:)

Do you need passports to go to Belize? I was told by Carnival that you don't.
