The Ecstasy left on Thurs. I watched it take off. (yes I am a nerd) :)

not only did I watch it leave ---I just checked it out at the dock in Cozumel !!!!! ( fyi ---it is in Galveston every other Saturday ---does a 5-5-4 cruise rotation)

Still over 100 days for me, going on her in May with my mom for a mother's day cruise. Wish I was sitting there in Coz now - It is 35 degrees here! (and for a south Texan that is just darn cold!)

Coast Guard cutters frequently patrol areas of the Carib. and Gulf ---sometimes in conjunction with local (foreign) fleets. Our son is on a cutter based in NH, yet they are currently patroling between Key West and Cuba (and loving the warmth :)...they tie up in Key West near the cruise ships there.

Yep... there was a USCG cutter in port at Grand Cayman when I was there. She got lots of attention!!
