Grand princess casino ?

No chits on Princess and they have gone into the 'coinless cashout' if that is what you prefer. You just register your cruise card in the machine, then when you want to cash out, you just put in the PIN you have pre-choosen and download the winnings onto your cruise card casino account and can use them or cash them in anytime you wish. Cash or coins can still be placed in the machines, and they will pay out if you want them to. This avoids waiting for a casino worker to load the machines with coins all the time when they run out. You just have to remember to go to the casino cage if you have any credits left on your card the final night of the cruise to cash out.

They will be there to explain it fully when you go to the casino if you haven't used this process in the past.

We were on the Grand last week and although coins (and slot tokens) can still be collected in the usual way the Casino staff were encouraging passengers to use the chip and pin method of saving credits to their roomkey/shipboard casino account which works on a similar principle to the Vegas Casino loyalty card method. You pop your room card into a slot (to set up pin and start to collect points etc) and then if you have a win and don't wish to play off, you can save to the card and either call it a day or move onto the next slot.

You need 1000 points to get $10 back.

Hope this helps and doesn't sound too garbled! :)

Have a great cruise.

Glenda:

Do you happen to remember what types of slots were in the casino (the 1 to 5 cent themed ones)? I hope I hate them all.....ha ha.

We will be on the Grand in March and my sister and I like to play the slots (live in Minnesota close to all the local casinos), but I am sure our husbands hope we do not like any of the ones they have! Slots can be tight, but it seems the ones on the ships are usually tighter.

Thanks for the info and hope you enjoyed your cruise.
