Any one else have any comments on the Waikiki Resort in Honolulu - I have read good and bad reviews on it?

Can't comment on the hotel directly since I've never been. However, location-wise, hard to complain - about the middle of Waikiki. Next to Kings Village where they have the King's Guard drill team performing. Also close to International Marketplace and a block or two away from the beach.

Hopefully, someone who's actually stayed there will chime in. We've had inquiries about the hotel before so I'm hoping that someone will have first hand information about the hotel.

We just returned and spent two nights at the Waikiki Resort Hotel post cruise. It is really perfect if all you're looking for is a place to sleep. It is clean, has a very attractive lobby and personel were very helpful. I wouldn't choose it if you want a nice pool area and upscale amenities because it doesn't have it. It is only one block from the beach and it is in the heart of Waikiki. It is close to walk to a lot of different places. It worked great for us.
