Is Duke's as good as everyone says it is? (everybody say amen) Then what is it about Duke's that makes it so great? I've never been there, but have an evening in Honolulu next February.

Dukes has a great breakfast buffet. We ate there almost every morning of our 12-day stay a couple years ago. You gotta try the coconut syrup on the pancakes.

Do you know if reservations are accepted or recommended for the breakfast buffet or is it just a matter of getting there when it opens? (that is 7 am right?)

Not sure if they take reservations for breakfast (other than maybe the weekend when alot of locals go). If you stay in the Outrigger you can call down from your room and they'll call you back when a table is ready. We stayed across the street so just walked over. Two years ago they were handing out pagers when there was a wait so you could walk around and they'd page you.
