We have booked a room at the B & B called Pillows in Paradise on the windward side of Oahu in Kailua - is anybody familiar with this place?

Sorry I can't help you with that specific B&B, but I can help with Kailua. If you have never been there, you will love it. Kailua beach is one of my absolute favorite Hawaii swimming beaches. The facilities are great; the sand is perfect; the water is clear. When we were there, each afternoon we would watch people come home from work. You could practically see the cares of the day melt away as they would get settled on the beach. Anyway, we like the area as well. The people we met were terrific. It is easy to get to Waikiki or just about anywhere else on Oahu. For us, it was much better than staying in Waikiki or Honolulu because it is so much quieter.
