jtyerspc Posted February 26, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2008 Will be in St.Thomas for the day at the end of April. Going diving in the morning and the dive boat leaves us off in Crown Bay . Does anyone know of anything to do in this area? good bars? good eats? or should we just taxi back to the cruise ship area? Thanks in advance for your advice! Karysa Posted February 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2008 You could stop in town on the way back to the ship and have lunch or go shopping. Karysa
eh2zed Posted February 27, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2008 If the dive boat drops you off in Crown Bay after your tour then that is likely where you are docked. Princess and HAL dock there exclusively unless they have more than 2 ships in. The newer Crown Bay terminal area does have a few shops and a bar or 2 but nothing yet like the Havensite pier. If time permits you can taxi downtown into Charlotte Amalie.
The Islander Posted March 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2008 Cruise ships dock in Crown Bay too, at the Crown Bay Dock. Do you know where you are docking; WICO dock in Havensight or Crown Bay Dock? Is the dive boat dropping you at Crown Bay Dock (cruise ship dock) or Crown Bay marina? Tickles is at the marina and its a good casual resturant and bar. What day at the end of April? April 25th is the Children's Parade and April 26th the Adult's Parade. Both part of Carnival activities. Shops downtown along Main Street are closed for both events as that is the parade route. If you are in port one of those days you should catch some of the parade. --Islander
