Is fishing from shore possible on HMC?

We've never been to HMC but my 9 year old son is dying to go fishing while on the island. We met a man 2 yrs. ago on a RC cruise who told us that he would leave the ship early in the morning on a tender with some of the crew and while they set up for the day, he would go fishing. (This was on Coco Cay) My son has never forgot this and really wants to go fishing on this cruise. Unfortunately, he had a bad experience deep sea fishing in very rough waters in Mexico last month and will not get on another small boat.

 

Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.:) :) :)
